Updated Notice and Fact Sheet Regarding Pregnancy Accommodation
NYC has released an updated notice and fact sheet regarding pregnancy accommodations at work.
New Resources
Employers with 4 or more employees are required to provide written notice of employees' rights under the law, and can use this document to satisfy that requirement. As such, it should be posted in the workplace. The City also released a separate fact sheet, which may also be used to satisfy the notice requirement.

Background
The New York City Human Rights Law, generally applicable to employers with 4 or more employees, prohibits unlawful discrimination in employment based on (among other things) pregnancy or perceived pregnancy. It also requires employers to reasonably accommodate an employee's pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical condition.
Employees must be provided written notice of their right to be free from such discrimination. Notice is carried out by providing notice to all new employees at the commencement of employment. Employers may also post the notice in their place of business in an area accessible to all employees.
