Compensation Program Manager

location: Santa Clara, CA

Come join the People and Places Team, leading the Compensation Program for Infoblox. The ideal candidate will have a real passion for maximizing the company’s investment in people through creative compensation designs using business analytics and strong data insight. We want to talk with people who have the depth, experience and confidence to sit at the table with senior management to build effective total rewards programs that attract and retain top talent. This position will report to the EVP of People & Places.


  • Play a key role in preparing and assisting with the annual compensation planning cycle, including providing systems testing/support; developing timeline and planning materials; and developing and delivering communications materials.
  • Complete benchmarking of all global Infoblox jobs on an annual basis and make programmatic change recommendations based on the results
  • Participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze pay data to determine the company's competitive position
  • Manage job codes and compensation guidelines in HR system, using Workday
  • Support the evaluation of jobs, creation of job families, and salary survey job-matching
  • Evaluate and provide guidance to recruiters and HR business partners on compensation changes (i.e. job title, grade level, salary, and bonus targets) ensuring that all necessary information is correct in the HR system
  • Generate routine market data reports from Radford and reports from the HR system
  • Conduct ad hoc competitive assessments/internal equity analyses of employee pay levels and make recommendations for pay adjustments
  • Own employee communications regarding compensation programs and plans
  • Prepare and audit quarterly new hire equity reports, including managing the equity approval process
  • Conduct manager training on basic compensation programs


  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. CCP certificate is desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years’ recent experience in a compensation role and/or sales operations.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to assess, create, improve and maintain our global Total Rewards infrastructure.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to complete deliverables for compensation-related initiatives such as revising bonus plans, shifting pay mixes, wage and hour compliance, rewards and recognition programs, job leveling.Excellent Excel ability is a must. Working knowledge of Workday is a plus.
  • Excellent writing and oral presentation skills
