Massachusetts Raises Minimum Wage

Increases Begin January 1, 2019
Under a new law in Massachusetts, the minimum wage will increase as follows:
- .00 per hour (.35 for tipped employees), beginning January 1, 2019
- .75 per hour (.95 for tipped employees), beginning January 1, 2020
- .50 per hour (.55 for tipped employees), beginning January 1, 2021
- .25 per hour (.15 for tipped employees), beginning January 1, 2022
- .00 per hour (.75 for tipped employees), beginning January 1, 2023
The law also phases in the elimination of Sunday and holiday premium pay for retail workers. Click here to read the law.
