Minimum Wages in New York to Increase on Dec. 31

New Rates Effective Across the State

Effective December 31, 2017, minimum wage increases will take effect in New York as follows:

  • Statewide: .40 per hour; and .75 per hour for fast food workers
  • New York City: .00 per hour for employers with 11 or more employees; .00 per hour for employers with 10 or fewer employees; and .50 per hour for fast food workers
  • Westchester, Nassau & Suffolk Counties: .00 per hour; and .75 per hour for fast food workers
